The 2016 Barbaresco Il Bricco, from Pio Cesare’s vineyard in Treiso, is gorgeous. Sweet red cherry, kirsch, mint, cinnamon and star anise all flesh out in the glass, with an extra kick of warmth (not heat) that gives the wine a real sense of breadth. Best of all, the 2016 will drink well with minimal cellaring, although it certainly has the substance to age well for some time to come. 2024 - 2041
