Comm. G. B. Burlotto blev etableret i 1850 og drives i dag af 4. generation. Burlotto kan med rette betegnes at være en af de absolutte Top producenter af Barolo og klassificeres til at tilhører traditionalisterne blandt Barolo producenterne men Fabio der er uddannet ønolog har været med til at indfører moderne teknikker der har givet stilen et mere elegant præg uden at miste det traditionelle særpræg. Vingården råder over 12 ha vinmarker (10 ha i Verdune distriktet og 2 ha Cannubi, Barolo distriktet) og producerer årligt ca. 60.000 flasker. The 2023 Barbera d'Alba is another fine entry-level offering from Burlotto. In 2023, Fabio Alessandria did not feel the Aves, his top Barbera, was materially different from this, the straight bottling, so he blended all the fruit together. Consequently, the Barbera has a bit more fruit density and a touch of oak influence (from new casks) that it does not usually have. Succulent red cherry, plum, spice, cedar and rose petal build nicely in the glass.
