The 2021 Barolo Bricco Manescotto is one of the most elegant wines in the range. Silky tannins and lifted aromatics convey finesse. Dark cherry, lavender, spice, menthol and graphite open with a bit of time in the glass. This understated Barolo is so classy and alluring. This is a fine showing for the Manescotto.

Giuliano Corino and his family presented a terrific set of 2021 Barolos. More than anything else, I was so impressed with the expression of place in the wines. The Comune di La Morra will give readers a very good idea of the village style. The Giachini and Manescotto are especially strong this year. As always, the wines are vinified in rotary fermenters and aged in French oak with a light hand that exalts Nebbiolo and La Morra.
