Red-ruby. Reduced nose suggests smoky black cherry and violet, with complicating nuances of meat and truffle (reminded me a bit of a Cote de Nuits wine): Sweet and seamless but a bit youthfully monolithic; dark fruit flavors seem much less evolved than the Fossati. This moderately deep midweight seems to be in a shell today; I wanted a bit more verve. Finishes with dusty, building tannins.
