From: 2022 Barolo: Half-Full or Half-Empty? (Jan 2026)
The 2022 Barolo Mosconi is a bold, savory wine. Dried herbs, mint, incense, licorice, tobacco and spice are finely delineated. Underlying veins of tannin are classic Mosconi. The 2022 shows good site character, but it is also quite understated. There's good energy and vibrancy, though, enough to make me think all this needs is time in bottle. Bracing mineral notes extend the finish.
