Here I’m finding a zesty, vibrant display of tart cherries mixed with peppery herbs, leather, and earthy mineral tones. Creamy yet cool-toned textures wash across the palate, delivering floral-laced strawberry and raspberry tones, as brisk acids add further energy, and saline-minerals saturate. The finish is medium in length and remarkably pretty, as the 2017 Rosso buzzes with energy over a coating of salty minerality and spice. Important to note that the Salicutti Rosso is not a vineyard designated wine in 2017, instead, it’s a blend of the Sorgente and Piaggione vineyards. 2020 - 2026
